Winter Contest 2009
Everybody talks about summer reading, but for me, winter is the best season for books. Is there anything better than curling up with a cup of cocoa by the fire and immersing yourself in a novel? Post here in the comments and let me know what book you’re reading right now. I’ll enter you in a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate and a free copy of one of my books.
(Note: By entering the contest, you agree to let Stephanie Draven use your name on this website and her blog if you win. Your email address will never be sold or transferred to any third party. Stephanie might, however, contact you with the very occasional update on her writing and career. At your request, however, you’ll be promptly deleted from her mailing list.)

December 15th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
I am reading Identical. By Ellen Hopkins.
Ok, I just finished and am reading Troy: Fall of Kings by Gemmell now. But I said Identical because you will want to read it. It’s something crazy. Written in a style of a poetry journal, by two identical twins. But it’s not really poetry. It’s just written oddly.
It made me rebel at first, and I wanted to stop reading it… but then I kept reading and the style became as intriguing as the story.
December 15th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
I’m reading The Uncanny by Andrew Klavan. I’ve been looking at it for years and finally picked it up. I’m just so happy to be reading something that isn’t academic.

Oh my, I’m midst of at least five books. Top of the list is Esther and Jerry Hicks The Vortex, about Law of Attraction. I have read many of their books. The hard parts about those are, that sometimes it is way too difficult to read, because you find yourself struggling with your belief system, and you need to figure out where you stand. At better times it is exhilarating to get an insight after another.
I am excited to learn about you being an author. Will return here most definetly. Have a beautiful holiday season!

I’m a multi-booker.
I’m almost through Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh, but am dreading the ending because I’ve heard how the next book goes and was disappointed, so I’m keeping my “own ending” in my head for now. I’m also reading Personal Demons by Stacia Kane, which I’m loving. Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk – an outstanding novel – I already bought the second book in the series even though I’m not finished with the first! Eve of Darkness by S.J. Day – I like the character, but I am not a fan of women who can’t decide on one guy, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish this one.
I’m also reading a book on Positive Confrontation.
And, of course, at any given time I’m reading a book with tons of cat pictures.
