Hee, Tami–do I need to change the poll to allow more than one vote?

I see that the category I voted for is leading (by one vote). I don’t think that’s an accident. Vampires biting on the neck…that’s so obviously a sexual metaphor that they have become a romantic cliche even for tweeners.
But love/romance is considered a positive, life-affirming emotion. The contradiction between that and…well, there’s a category that’s neither positive nor life affirming…The possibilities for conflict/drama are myriad.

I love ready books about shapeshifters, especially the wolf.

I wanted to vote for two of them too. Arthurian and Greek mythos. To me, there is much more to those catagories than the others.
Thanks to the ‘modern’ stuff, I’ve been turned completely off vampires. Ugh. Unfortunately, my sis-in-law can’t get enough of it.
Of course, the best paranomral ’short’ I ever read was the lyrics to the song ‘Lammas Night’ which is about a ghost.

Ghosts! I often think that they might actually be real, unlike all the other options. Angels and demons might be real, as well, but ghosts seem much more likely to me. Hence, they are the most fascinating to me.

My normal preference is werewolves, but demons have been pulling me in lately. There’s something about the ultimate, unredeemable bad boy that is irresistable to me–especially if he has horns!

Are you a Supernatural fan, too, Lisa?
