I’m so excited to join with other authors this week as part of Six Sentence Sunday! Today’s snippet is from my very first contemporary romantic comedy, IN BED WITH THE OPPOSITION. It’s sexy, quirky, and is what I like to call a very smart book for very bad girls.
In this snippet, our hero wonders why he can’t get our heroine out of his head:
Bam!
Jealousy hit Ethan straight between the eyes, but he threw his feet up onto the hotel desk and tried to keep his tone light. “Let me make something clear, Grace. I’m not going to work for Blain Halloway no matter what the offer is, because I’m a jealous ex-boyfriend. I don’t play second fiddle to anybody. Not in business and not in bed.”
And since you’re already here, why don’t you pick up a free copy of my historical erotica, The Knife’s Edge. Also, you might want to join my very infrequent but frequently snarky newsletter for chances to win various prizes and goodies. This includes my contest for this neat patriotic necklace!

I love the opening for this snip, and how sure of himself your hero is.
I love the attitude in those lines. Thanks for sharing!
Uh oh… I wonder how she’ll respond.
Wow, he’s still clinging to that jealousy huh? Things are about to get interesting, I can tell!
*melts* Oh, I’m already in love with Ethan.
Sounds like a hot-headed Alpha male – love them!
Well, he makes his position clear enough! Strong, intriguing six!
No one can accuse him of playing mindgames!
Awesome six. He’s not playing around.
Yeah! You tell her, Ethan! good for you!
Uhoh. I like the attitude! Great!
I tagged last weeks, didn’t I?
Nice to see Ethan asserting himself. I bet she kicks his ass.
I love this. Great six. I get a good glimps into him. Nicely done.
And that’s that!
Well said, Ethan!
