I have family in the armed services and many of the heroes in the stories I write for HQN are military men. Because of this, there are some charities that are near and dear to my heart including Operationa Santa, which organizes the shipment of more than 35,000 Christmas stockings to deployed service personnel during the holiday season. Every holiday, our soldiers serve away from home, and through my interviews with military spouses, I’ve become involved with one particularly worthy cause: Operation Santa.
