Back from the Big Easy

I had the pleasure of serving as a bridesmaid for one of my best friends. She had her wedding in New Orleans, and what a blast it was. I’ve never been to the city before, and I was astonished by the small things. I loved the creepy Spanish Moss hanging from the trees. I loved the above-ground cemeteries. I loved the food, and the fun, and the freaky costumes on Bourbon Street on Halloween Night.
I can see why New Orleans is the setting for so many works of speculative and paranormal fiction. It’s so atmospheric that I’m thinking about using it in one of my future books.
